What
does Evidence Wipe do?
With only one click, Evidence Wipe
allows you to delete search history's, delete history search, delete Internet history, delete address bar search history,
delete Internet cache history, delete cookies history, delete visited/typed
URLs history, delete autocomplete history, delete index.dat files of your browser,
and Window's search history, open/save history, run history, swap file, temp

user, and for whatever reason, you do not receive an email with a registration
code within a reasonable amount of time (24 hours for credit card payments or

What
is index.dat?
This file used for folders:
Temporary Internet Files, History, Cookies and more... It locked by system and
can not be deleted. It contain information about files which cached. It do not
contain files, but list of locations for them. <Top>
Why
the index.dat files still exist after I erase them?
The index.dat files are
always LOCKED during a Windows session and can not be deleted. Evidence Wipe erases these files during a reboot before they become locked. After Windows
has restarted, new files are automatically created with the same name but they
contain no data. <Top>
Why
the some browser history still there after erasing?
It is strongly recommended
that you shutdown all the programs that you want to erase, because some tracks
can not be erased when these programs are running. For MSN, AOL and Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox,
even you close all the windows of them, maybe their icons still on the system
tray (lower right of the screen). Please check the system tray (lower right
of your screen) to see if there is an icon of them, if you can find, you need
to right click on it and close it before cleaning. <Top>
Can
Evidence Wipe clean my files automatically when I start my computer?
Simply configure the General
options on the Setting Tab in Evidence Wipe. In addition, please make
sure the Load Evidence Wipe at Windows Startup checkbox is checked. Please
also note that in order for clearing to take place when you shutdown your computer,
you must leave Evidence Wipe running when you shutdown. This will not harm Evidence Wipe
or your computer. <Top>
How
can I install Evidence Wipe?
If you download the Evidence
Wipe self-extracting setup file from our members area, just double click the setup
file in Windows explorer and the setup will start. If you download the Evidence Wipe
zip package, please extract all files from the package into a temporary
directory using your archiver, such as WinZip or WinRAR. Run the installation
program, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. <Top>
How
can I uninstall Evidence Wipe?
There are two ways to uninstall
Evidence Wipe:
1. Make sure Evidence Wipe is Closed, Right Click on the System Tray Icon
(next to your clock) and click exit.
2. Click Start ->Programs-> Evidence Wipe->Uninstall
3. Click Start ->Settings->Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs-> Evidence Wipe
